    Story times, knitting, gardening and more upcoming at local libraries

    Writers Group at the Milaca Community Library

    Visit the Milaca library on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. for a writers group, facilitated by Delores Topliff. She is a college teacher, speaker and freelance writer with over 360 publications, in addition to providing editing and publishing services.

    Registration is required, as space is limited. Register on ECRL’s Events Calendar at ecrlib.org or by calling the library.

    ECFE Story time at the Milaca Community Library

    Join ECFE for story time fun at the Milaca Community Library on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. Sing songs, make a craft and be silly with friends during the event.

    Recommended for preschool aged children and their guardians. Siblings are always welcome. No registration required.

    Knitting and Crocheting Circle at the Princeton Area Library

    Bring your projects and visit the Community Room at the Princeton Area Library on Thursday, Oct. 24 from 2 - 4 p.m. for a social knitting and crocheting circle.

    If you’re looking for a project, there have lots of ideas for you to get started. All experience levels are welcome.

    No registration necessary.

    Toddler story time with ECFE at the Princeton Area Library

    Join ECFE for a toddler story time at the Princeton Area Library on Monday, Oct. 21 at 11 a.m. This program is recommended for ages two - four. We will meet in the Community Room twice a month on select Mondays. Each story time will include reading, singing and playing. No registration necessary.

    Baby story time with ECFE at the Princeton Area Library

    Join ECFE for a baby story time at the Princeton Area Library on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 11 a.m. This program is recommended for ages birth to 23 months. Meet in the Community Room =on select Wednesdays each month. Each story time will include reading, singing and playing. No registration necessary.

    One-on-One Tech Help at the Princeton Area Library

    Do you need help with your laptop or mobile device? Are you having trouble signing into the Libby App or the ECRL Catalog? Sign up for our one-on-one tech help sessions every Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Princeton Area Library. A staff member will assist with answering basic technology questions.

    Please bring your laptop/mobile device and its charger to your appointment. You will not be asked to share any confidential information.

    Gardening 101 with the Mille Lacs Master Gardeners at the Princeton Area Library

    Join the Mille Lacs County Master Gardeners at the Princeton Area Library on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 10 a.m. for a workshop on Gardening 101.

    Participants will learn all about soil tests for success, soil amendments, till/no till, manure/leaf mulch/commercial fertilizers, plant needs for light, seed/plant selection, seed starting, light and water needs, water requirements indoors and out, fencing to keep out deer, rabbits, dogs, etc.

    Afterward, there will be time for questions.
