The Seventh Squad reports the arrest of a Roosevelt man for an Assault that occurred on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at 7:48 pm in Merrick. According to Detectives, 911 received a call for a disturbance at Planet Fitness, located at 1630 Merrick Road. Upon officer’s arrival, suspect Getho Brevette, 27, of 52 Park Avenue, fled the scene in his 2015 Hyundai heading westbound on Merrick Road. Shortly after, the defendant was involved in an auto accident and left the scene, but later returned to Planet Fitness.

From July 8 through August 2, the Floral Park-Bellerose Union Free School District is hosting a Summer Enrichment Program for its students.
