Floral Park-Bellerose Schools Host Summer Enrichment Program
From July 8 through August 2, the Floral Park-Bellerose Union Free School District is hosting a Summer Enrichment Program for its students. There are five programs that students may choose from, each one with various classes. One STEAM-focused program offers classes in edible sciences, coding, robotics, rocketry. There are also programs centered in sports and fitness, visual arts world languages and culture and performing arts.

NEW YORK -- It's believed to be the first-of-its-kind prosecution in New York. NY weather update: Flood advisory expected to expire at 12:15 a.m.
The advisory was for Nassau and Suffolk counties. "The Flood Advisory will expire at 12:15 a.m. early this morning for a portion of southeast New York, including the following areas, Nassau and Suffolk. The heavy rain has ended. Urban and small stream flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining road closures," states the National Weather Service.

The presentation took place at the 27th annual installment of the talk media industry’s longest running national gathering held at Hofstra University on Long Island this past June 7. The event, which took place at Hofstra’s Lawrence Herbert School of Communication, was presented by TALKERS in association with the university’s multi-award winning WRHU-FM/WRHU.org. The session, which is an annual highlight of the TALKERS conference, featured a stellar line up that included (in alphabetical order): Kraig T. 17 cameras are busting speeders on several roads in the Empire State this week. One of them is back in Central New York. The radar was installed as part of legislation, signed into law in September 2022. The cameras move around the state every week to different construction zones in an effort to get drivers to take their foot off the gas and keep workers safe.
