Six errors by Fort Mill Post 43 helped to lead to a 10-7 loss to Lexington Post 7 in their opening of the American Legion Senior State Tournament Friday. Lexington Post 7 struck first scoring a run in the top of the first inning off one hit. Fort Mill would have a big first inning in response.

Monroe’s Lake Lee makes temporary schedule change: What to know
MONROE, N.C. (WBTV) - Lake Lee in Monroe will be closing for two additional days each week, officials announced Thursday. The Water Resources Department for Monroe on Thursday, July 25 said that Lake Lee will be closed on Sundays and Tuesdays until further notice. The new schedule is a result of staffing changes, officials said.

Judge Catherine Eagles decided on a permanent block for part of the legislation that says doctors must document the location of a pregnancy before prescribing abortion pills.
