Three Eagles Named Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars
Rock Hill, S.C. – Winthrop men's golfers Ian Faulconer , Nick Mayfield and Ian Tucker received national recognition as each were named 2023-24 NCAA Division I Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars. Faulconer was named for the second straight year as he was also named to the Big South Conference All-Academic Team. This is the first time receiving the honor for Mayfield and Tucker. Catawba Seniors Morning Out For August
HICKORY, N.C. –Participants will enjoy a variety of activities in August including a trip to the farmers market, crafting classes, and cooking demonstrations. Any resident of Catawba County who is 60 or older is invited to join Seniors Morning Out, which is held Monday through Thursday mornings at five convenient locations. A hot, balanced lunch is served each day. Programs are free to participants, who may pick and choose which days to attend. Bus transportation to and from the sites is available in some locations.
