Second fire consumes a vacant mobile home at Cherry Lane Estates
SOMERSET — A second fire has destroyed yet another vacant mobile home at Cherry Lane Estates Saturday. The first fire occurred just shy of eight weeks ago. No one was hurt in either fire. However, one tenant was displaced from his home because the first fire spread to his trailer.
Italian Festival Organizer Says Event Will Not Happen
Organizers of a downtown Butler event are responding to issues raised by City officials by canceling the event. Last week, Mayor Bob Dandoy addressed Council about discussions he had with organizers for the Italian Festival scheduled for August 23rd, 24th, and 25th. The main issue was allowing set-up on Thursday which removes parking and negatively impacts businesses on Main Street.

Erie Zoo Unveils New River Otter Exhibit
The River Otters at the Erie Zoo have a new home to splash and play around in. Zoo officials and members cut the ribbon at a special ceremony on Tuesday.
