SAPD: Teenager arrested, charged with beating man to death in downtown
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A San Antonio teenager has been charged with manslaughter in connection to the death of a man at a downtown hotel. According to the San Antonio Police Department, Thomas Weaver Jr, 42, was found unconscious in front of the Grand Hyatt Hotel on East Market Street at around 1 a.m. July 14. He was bleeding from the back of his head and was rushed to a hospital where he died eight days later.

Construction closure planned for westbound Loop 1604 near I-10 this weekend
SAN ANTONIO – The westbound lanes of Loop 1604 near Interstate 10 will be closed this weekend due to construction. As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will close the Loop 1604 westbound mainlanes from Lockhill Selma Road to I-10 from 9 p.m. Friday, July 26 through 5 a.m. Sunday, July 28.
