UCPG (Planning Group) issues preliminary agenda for UCPG Meeting on Tues, March 12, 2024
The University Community Planning Group (UCPG) will host its Executive Committee Monthly Meeting in a hybrid format (in-person with Zoom option) on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 6 PM. The in-person location is at 9880 Campus Pointe Drive, Third Floor, Terra Nova Conference Room. The Zoom instructions for the online meeting are on page three (3) of the agenda and at the end of this post. This is a hybrid meeting with the UCPG board required to attend in-person. Presenters and members of the public may choose to participate in-person or by Zoom. From information provided by University Community Planning Group (UCPG) Chair Chris Nielsen: The University Community Planning Group (UCPG) will hold its annual March 2024 election for four residential seats for terms beginning April 9, 2024 on March 12, 2024. There are no business seats to be elected this time. For this year’s election we’re pleased to offer drop off ballot boxes at the two UC libraries for your convenience. We encourage all UCPG members to take advantage of this and cast your vote.

The date of the Presidential Primary Election is not until March 5, 2024. However, under the California Voter’s Choice Act, every active registered voter in San Diego County will receive a ballot in the mail the week of February 4, 2024. March 2 – No-Cost Dumpster Day in D6 University City
Morning of Saturday, March 2nd, 2024: Free / No-Cost Dumpster Day in D6 University City. The Office of Councilmember Kent Lee invites constituents to a community clean-up where residents can dispose of oversized trash or recyclables. Dumpster Days are hosted at no cost courtesy of donations and volunteers from the local community in an initiative to reduce illegal dumping.
