Sun July 23: it’s the Standley Summer Safety Splash at Standley Aquatic Center
From Falck Mobile Health: Have fun and learn about water safety at the Standley Summer Safety Splash on Sunday July 23 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Standley Aquatic Center, 3605 Governor Drive, in University City. This free event will feature booths about CPR, life jackets, Parent & Tot Swim Safety Workshops, and have an inflatable obstacle course and foam machine.

UC Celebration returns to Standley Park on the 4th of July
Planning is underway for the 32nd annual UC Celebration on the 4th of July. It’s the biggest Summer Event in University City! Many volunteers are needed to help make this community event at Standley Park, 3585 Governor Drive, a huge success. If you and your family plan to attend, please also plan to help.

Beginning Sunday June 18, construction will begin at the Towne Centre Drive and La Jolla Village Drive (LJVD) intersection as part of the City of San Diego Morena Northern Pipelines and Tunnels project in University City. Two-way traffic on La Jolla Village Drive will be maintained at all times.

Pure Water construction update at UCCA Community Meeting Wed, Jun 14, 2023 at 6 PM; UCCA releases preliminary agenda
The University Community Association (UCCA) will meet on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, via Zoom. This is a public meeting and all are welcome. Our special guest speakers this month include the Pure Water Construction team with information about the construction at the intersection of La Jolla Village Drive and Town Centre Drive. In addition, we’ll have updates from the police department, elected representatives, the planning group, and community leaders.
