La Crosse Sweeps Doubleheader over Minot
Tuesday’s Northwoods League slate featured a doubleheader between the #3 La Crosse Steam and #4 Minot Honeybees. The La Crosse Steam scored four runs in the sixth to help beat the Minot Honeybees 6-3. Rachel Mori (William Peace University) was perfect at the plate going 3-for-3 scoring once with a two-run home run and an RBI single. Avary Makarewicz (University of Tennessee at Martin) went 1-for-3 scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Jackie Albrecht (University of North Dakota) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with a two-run home run and a double. Sydney Schott (Spalding University) earned the win throwing six innings with one strikeout allowing six hits, three runs, and one walk.
Eagles’ Upset Bid Thwarted By West Fargo
FARGO – It could have been a huge upset for the Jamestown Eagles. Instead, West Fargo broke the Eagles’ hearts.
