JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Community Foundation has awarded a $2,000 grant to the Jamestown branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) to assist with the remodeling of their new location for the local AAUW Used Bookstore. The bookstore has moved to the former O’Reilly’s Auto Parts Store at 810 18th St. SW in Jamestown and is now open to the public.

President’s Column: Preparations for Fall 2024 semester
I’d like to give a few updates as work continues across campus this summer. First, construction and renovation work has officially begun on McCarthy Hall. Slated for a July 2025 completion, this historic building will be repurposed to serve as the home for VCSU’s School of Education and Technology Education. There are also important changes in the southeast corner of campus. Work has started on the construction of a new foyer and entrance which will connect McFarland and McCarthy in a climate-controlled, updated and welcoming foyer.
FMWF Chamber announces $835,000 in funding opportunities for local businesses
FARGO, ND — The Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce (FMWF Chamber) is offering funding opportunities for local businesses as part of the Good Jobs Challenge. The awards are broken apart into several categories with the intent of serving “diverse populations, regions and communities.” A total of $835,000 is available for applicants, with individual monetary awards ranging between $5,000 to $75,000.
Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity to build 78th home in FM metro area
(Fargo, ND) — Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity will celebrate a “First Nail” event tomorrow in their effort to build their 78th home in the greater Fargo Moorhead area. “So we are rebuilding something new and nice in that community. We love to do those projects because it kind of helps and gives a little energy to an older neighborhood,” said Pete Christopher, the agency’s Resource Development and Marketing Manager.
