Omar Hernández Medrano was among the passengers on the Supergirl Sky Flight ride, also known as the Sky Screamer, at the Mexico City amusement park last week when the ride ceased operation during heavy rain and winds.

Medrano said he and his fellow riders were stranded 243 feet over the ground for about 10 minutes before being evacuated.

Six Flags Mexico said on social media that the storm caused multiple rides to briefly cease operating, and that all established procedures were followed.

The rides resumed operation later in the day. No injuries were reported.
