Aug. 27 (UPI) -- A Massachusetts man scored a $2.64 million lottery jackpot after using the same set of numbers -- his wife's former phone number -- to play Megabucks for 30 years.

Leicester resident Kevin Connor told Massachusetts State Lottery officials the Megabucks ticket he bought for Saturday's drawing bore the same numbers he has been playing for 30 years.

He said some of the digits were his wife's landline number when they first started dating.

Connor said he found out about his luck while visiting Maine with his family.

"I woke up Sunday morning, picked up my phone, went right to the app and beelined it to my Jeep to get my ticket and make sure I had the right numbers," he said.

Connor said his winnings will go toward his children's education -- and buying himself new socks.
