The bovine was first spotted June 22 in the Roslindale neighborhood and was initially reported to be a cow, before Boston Animal Care and Control clarified that the animal was a bull.

BACC said the animal resurfaced Aug. 20 and was finally captured Tuesday when officials used food to lure him into a pen.

The MSPCA's Equine and Farm Animal Rescue Team took the bovine to the organization's Nevins Farm facility, where they discovered he was actually a steer.

The steer, now named Moodini, is underweight and officials are aiming to help him gain about 50 pounds.

"He is also a bit skeptical of humans right now, which makes sense given he's been having a feral king summer," the MSPCA said on social media . "But we know he will open up and be a great addition to the right family."
