Louisville residents Steve Wiseman, Trace Wiseman, Kyle Reed and Erik Howard completed their 24-hour bowling marathon Monday at Lane One at Kingpin in Jeffersontown.

They were aiming to take the Guinness World Records title for the most strikes in a 24-hour period in 10-pin bowling with four people, a new category requiring a minimum 1,200 strikes to inaugurate the record.

The men reached the Guinness World Records goal about 14 hours into their attempt and kept going for the rest of the 24 hours, ending with a total 2,032 strikes.

Video and other evidence from the attempt is being submitted to the record-keeping organization for official verification.

The Wiseman brothers already hold the world records for most pins knocked down in 24 hours by a team of two and the same record for a team of four.
