Watch: Hulu releases first 'Alien: Earth' teaser

Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Hulu released online Tuesday the first teaser for its upcoming sci-fi series Alien: Earth .

The 15-second preview saw a terrifying looking space creature baring its teeth.

"The perfect planet for the perfect organism," said a message accompanying the clip.

Set to premiere in 2025, the adventure is set in the same universe as the iconic Alien film franchise begun by actress Sigourney Weaver and Oscar-winning filmmaker Ridley Scott in 1979.

Noah Hawley of Fargo fame is the showrunner for the series.

"When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet's greatest threat," an official synopsis said.

The cast also includes Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille and Moe Bar-El.
