The 60-year-old Kent County woman told Michigan Lottery officials she occasionally uses the lottery app to play online games.

"I play games on the Michigan Lottery app every now and again," the player said. "That night, I just had a strong feeling that I should try the Michigan Jackpot game."

"I decided to give it a try and after I played a couple of tickets, I hit the jackpot! I was so anxious when I won. I thought it was a mistake or was going to disappear from my phone," she said. "I went to bed that night and when I woke up in the morning, I raced to check my lottery account. When I saw the prize was still there, I told my husband the good news!"

The winner said her prize money will go toward investing in her business and sharing with her family.

"I am so happy and grateful to have won this prize, and I am going to pay it forward," she said.
