Indianapolis man critically injured in Marion shooting
MARION, Indiana — An Indianapolis man was critically injured after shots were fired into their car in Marion early Monday, police said. Around 4 a.m. July 15, a Marion Police Department sergeant on patrol heard apparent gunshots in the area of South Home Avenue and East 27th Street. The sergeant then saw a male fire shots before running in a home in the 900 block of East 27th Street, the department said in a statement.

MARION — Indiana Wesleyan University is proud to announce an outstanding achievement by its Pre-licensure Nursing program. According to the official results of the State Board of Nursing on July 1, 2024, IWU’s nursing graduates achieved a 100% pass rate on the NCLEX RN exam for the year’s first half. Even more remarkable, this feat was accomplished by 76 first-time test takers, highlighting the dedication and hard work of both the students and the faculty.

BLOOMINGTON — Indiana University Bloomington has ranked highly in the recently released U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities rankings for 2024-25. Of the 2,250 universities ranked worldwide, IU Bloomington ranked 135th overall for global impact, the highest of the ranked universities in Indiana.
