Tenants who signed leases in Manhattan last month paid the same median rent as they did a year ago, making it the most expensive June on record. The leases for apartments this year were for units that were about 15% smaller in size. This is among the findings of real estate firm Douglas Elliman’s second quarter data on sales and rentals.

Isaac Bishop had been missing since Tuesday, June 11, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. Denville Community Club Announces 2024 Royal Weekend
DENVILLE, NJ - The Indian Lake Community Club in Denville has selected its royal couple for the 2024 calendar year. The tradition of choosing a king and queen dates back to 1927. Club members vote for a royal couple every summer, typically high school seniors. This year’s royal couple are seniors Hogan Hyatt and Bridget Rynkiewicz. Area Fire Departments on OSHA Rule Changes
Local fire departments are raising concerns over plans by OSHA, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, to update some of its rules and regulations that haven’t been changed since the 1980s. New York Assemblyman Billy Jones was joined this past week by several Fire Chiefs and First Responders from across the North Country who say those Emergency Response Rule changes could negatively impact volunteer fire and EMS services.
NJCU & Essex Community College presidents sign express transfer program MOU
The presidents from New Jersey City University (NJCU) and Essex Community College signed an express transfer program memorandum of understanding (MOU) yesterday. Under the terms of the articulation agreement, which is effective September 1st, 2024 for a period of at least five years, Essex County College students in good academic standing who have earned an Associate of Arts or Science degree at Essex, will be granted joint admission into NJCU with junior academic status, in the same or similar academic program.
