Shelter Me: Mixed breed puppy Rhetta is the perfect family dog who loves adventure!
This week, 6abc's Shelter Me spotlighted Forever Home Animal Rescue, a foster-based rescue in Spring City, Chester County.Rhetta is just 7 months old and has been at the shelter since February, but has yet to find her forever home.Denise Miller, a volunteer at Forever Home Animal Rescue, says she is a hidden gem of a pup! She's smart, loving, loves to cuddle and easy to train with the help of some treats!Rhetta is friendly with every human she meets, both big and small, walks well on a leash and loves other dogs. Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center to Host Historic Exhibits This Weekend
The Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center in Pennsburg is part of the Lehigh Valley’s Passport to History program this weekend, Friday, July 19 to Sunday, July 21. As a free event for all, it is a great opportunity to explore the rich history of our region. This weekend features activities for all ages and interests: a new model train exhibit as well as quilt exhibits, crafts for young and old, a special concert on Sunday, and guided tours of an 1826 barn. Hours are 10 AM to 4 PM on Friday and Saturday, and 1 to 4 PM on Sunday.

Local artist Sofia Gonzalez-Ortiz will unveil her “Be The Change” mural at Silverdale’s new gaming center, T6 Game Link, on Saturday, July 20. The mural, part of a four-wall series, spans 10×28 feet in the main game room. Using the open doorway as a metaphor, Gonzalez-Ortiz designed and painted the mural with the goal of bringing vibrant and playful energy into the community’s gaming lounge, said a T6 Game Link press release.
