MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota starter Bailey Ober rebounded from Bryce Harper's two-run homer for Philadelphia in the first to settle in for seven innings, and the Twins beat the Phillies 7-2. Ober threw only 83 pitches and retired 17 of his last 18 batters. The 6-foot-9 right-hander gave up four hits and one walk and improved to 4-1 with a 2.23 ERA in his last six starts. His record for the season is 9-5. Phillies starter Ranger Suárez fell to 10-5. He lost his fourth straight decision and failed to finish the sixth inning for the third time in his last four starts.
Matvei Michkov has arrived in Philadelphia
It has been a long time coming since the news of Matvei Michkov's contract termination in the KHL. It has been a matter of when he could make his way to North America. That time has finally come. Rumblings first began early on Monday morning when Michkov posted an Instagram story of him on an airplane. The caption read "What's next" which led people to believe that he was on his way.
