NJCPA Survey Respondents Concerned Over Corporate Transit Fee
The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants' (NJCPA) economic survey of more than 500 members in June revealed a relatively guarded stance on New Jersey’s economy for the second half of 2024 and a more positive take on the national economy. An equal number of respondents (43%) expected New Jersey’s economy to stay the same over that time as expected it to become worse, but when asked about the national economy nearly 50% anticipated economic conditions to remain about the same and 34% expected it to be worse.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET...
NJ weather: Two more unsettled, humid days, weekend looks great
High humidity and unsettled weather. Typical summer weather in New Jersey. But that does not mean we have to like it. We are facing a few showers and maybe even a thunderstorm through the first half of Wednesday. And again during the daytime hours on Thursday. Meanwhile, dew points in the 70s are making the air thick and uncomfortable.
Soggiest day of the week expected today amid isolated storms: what to know
Storms are back in the forecast through Thursday, after a relatively quiet weather stretch for the tri-state area, and you'll want to keep the umbrella on hand for whatever pops up. Thankfully, we are not expecting the levels of heat and instability we saw last week, meaning the threat of...
NJ might take away your favorite THC seltzer, delta-8 weed under new hemp bill
Two years after the first legal weed sales took place in New Jersey, a different cannabis market (but not too different) is at the center of yet another piece of complex legislation sitting on the governor's desk. It's cheap. It gets you high. It's available almost everywhere. And it's even more legal — and unregulated — than cannabis. ...

Public Outrage in New Jersey Over ‘Trashiest Towns’ List
I work hard to trying to shine the spotlight on the good sides of New Jersey. After all, there is constant bad publicity and jabs at the Garden State. The reality is that Jersey is a beautiful and diverse state with a lot to offer. While it might not be...

These Are New Jersey’s Most Expensive Zip Codes
There is expensive and then there is really expensive. Most people who live in New Jersey recognize this is an expensive place to live. Taxes are high, home prices are so out of control that home ownership in our state is simply not attainable. Even rent is ridiculously high. Some...

Starting NJ’s School Year In August: Good Or Bad Idea?
Are you ready for the kids to go back to school yet?. Most of the New Jersey school districts don't return to the classroom until after Labor Day. Since it's required by the state for the school year to consist of at least 180 days, if the Garden State did decide to start school in mid-August, that would translate to an earlier start to summer break at the end of the school year. Sources claim it could potentially be a good thing because it would allow for high school students to focus on applying to colleges sooner.
