Kool & The Gang and Mary J. Blige are now members of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

The legendary artists were inducted into the music landmark during a ceremony on Saturday night, Oct. 19, at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio.

Kool & the Gang and Mary J. belted out some of their biggest hits at the star-studded gathering.

Blige performed a medley of her chart-topping singles including “My Life,” “Love No Limit,” and “Family Affair” after being inducted by Dr. Dre and her Power Book II: Ghost co-star Method Man.

During her acceptance speech, the singer -- popularly known to fans as the "queen of hip-hop soul" said she'd been working toward this for years.

"This whole time I was building to be a rock star and now I am. The queen of hip-hop soul is a rock star," she said.

While some members of Kool & the Gang have passed away, founding member Robert "Kool" Bell and vocalist James "J.T." Taylor were there to perform “Ladies Night,” “Jungle Boogie,” “Hollywood Swinging,” “Get Down on it,” and “Celebration.”

The list of other inductees in the performer category included Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Ozzy Osbourne, A Tribe Called Quest, and Cher.

Zendaya gave the induction speech for Cher and wore a recreation of one of the music legend's iconic Bob Mackie dresses.

The honorees in the musical influence category were Alexis Korner, John Mayall and Big Mama Thornton, while the musical excellence inductees included Jimmy Buffett, MC5, Dionne Warwick, and Norman Whitfield.

Longtime music executive Suzanne de Passe received the Ahmet Ertegun Award, which goes to non-performing industry professionals who’ve had a major influence on the creative development and growth of music.

Four of this year’s nominees — Cher, Foreigner, Peter Frampton and Kool & the Gang — were on the ballot for the first time.

The class of 2024 was announced in April. To be eligible, each artist or band must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years before the year they are nominated.

The ceremony streamed live on Disney+ and will air later on ABC.
