Two new, large solar arrays would allow the City of Milwaukee to reach its longstanding goal of generating 25% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2025. We Energies would build “utility-scale” solar arrays on a former landfill near Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport and on 5 Mile Road in Caledonia, with the city being recognized on paper as the beneficiary of that grid-supplied electricity.
