Mario Lopez brought some very special guests to celebrate his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame: his wife, Courtney Lopez , and their three children.
After Mario, 51, received the honor on Thursday, October 10, he posed with his family. The Saved by the Bell alum wore a navy suit, while sons Dominic, 11, and Santino, 5, donned matching black ones. Courtney, 41, meanwhile, stunned in a black, cap-sleeve dress as daughter Gia, 14, chose a periwinkle midi dress and strappy white kitten heels.
Mario also made sure to give his family a sweet shout-out in his acceptance speech.
“Today, I happen to be turning 51 years old and I’m still blessed to be doing what I love the most. Only now, what I love most is being a dad,” Mario gushed. “As great an honor as it is to submit my family name here, what I’m most proud of is that my kids are here to see this — so they know that if they don’t just spend their time but use their time, they can achieve anything they want in their lives.”
“It’s really a team effort, I mean, I have an awesome wife who’s very understanding of my unpredictable schedule, and she’s really busy herself too,” he exclusively told Us in June. “But we’ve got my mom, her mom, a lot of family that helps. When they say it takes a village, it really does. So we got our little team that helps out with all the kids.”
According to Mario, he and Courtney “try to keep our [kids] as busy as possible” throughout the year.
“They are very hyper,” Mario joked. “My son’s going to a few big wrestling camps, my daughter a cheerleading one, and then there’s, like, the Spartan camp that all of them are going to with a bunch of different activities. And that’s just around the neighborhood.”
Mario further noted that it is “a priority” that Gia, Dominic and Santino “burn off energy” by staying active instead of indulging in excess screen time.
“I don’t want them sitting home just in front of the screen and turning them into iPad-raised kids,” Mario said at the time.
“I’m most proud of my family. Both my parents, who recently just celebrated 51 years together, and my awesome sister and her family and my wonderful wife and my kids,” he previously told Us in his October 2023 cover story. “A lot of things in life come and go, but having a great family is priceless. No matter what kind of day you’re having, you come home and you hear, ‘Daddy!’ and they’re opening their arms and loving you unconditionally. That makes it all worthwhile.”
