“Obviously there’s a lot going on in my personal life right now,” Tartick, 35, said on the Monday, October 14, episode of his “Trading Secrets” podcast. “One thing I’m going to share that I will talk about in regards to something else that’s come up in this last few days actually. Aside from, of course, Kat and I no longer being together.”
Tartick said he has a “very, very close” family friend whose dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. “Results aren’t fully in, but it seems as though it might be stage IV,” Tartick explained. “Very unexpected. Super healthy guy. Non-smoker, light drinker. Such a good guy. Like, such a great father. One of the best guys, you’re in a room and you’re like, ‘This guy is just the best.’”
Tartick concluded with a message for his listeners. “I say all of that because life is just so precious. It is so fast,” he said. “Before we even go into this episode, make a note, call your mom, call your dad, call your loved ones, grandpa, grandma, brother, sister. Whoever it might be. Tell them you love them. Find time to spend more time with them.”
He concluded, “When things like this happen, it puts in perspective. Even a podcast like this where we’re talking about how we can better ourselves financially, professionally and personally, we can get caught in the rat race of life. This is such a reminder to slow down, to speed up. Go tell the people you love [that] you love them today.”
“I am sad to share that Kat and I are no longer together,” Tartick wrote via his Instagram Story on Saturday, October 12. “It’s fair to say that I love hard with all my heart and fall fast. Sometimes in life that works out and other times, it doesn’t. This time it didn’t.”
He continued, “Kat has brought me so much happiness and light, she brought out parts of me I never knew existed. I will forever be grateful for her and, of course [her daughter] sweet MK. This chapter closes amicably, and another opens.”
Tartick concluded the message by sharing that he will “be rooting” for Stickler’s “happiness,” adding, “I am also rooting for mine. He included a bandaged heart emoji.
Stickler was the first one to post about the breakup. “With two back-to-back hurricanes, I obviously didn’t think it was the right time to talk about my personal life,” Stickler said via her Instagram Story on Saturday. “A lot of you have already guessed, and yes, Jason and I have broken up. It was amicable. It just didn’t work. I don’t want to talk about it. Just wanted to tell you.”
She continued, “I understand that with posting a relationship online, you also have to show this side [and] the aftermath. … I just wanted to tell you guys, and it’s not love wasted. I feel like sometimes it’s so easy to think when a relationship ends that the love was wasted but love is never wasted. That’s all I have to say.”
Tartick and Stickler first crossed paths when she was a guest on his podcast. They made their public debut as a couple in May during an F1 Grand Prix party. Weeks later, they made their relationship Instagram official by sharing a joint post with the caption, “Heart is full.”
