Olympic basketball gold medal game: Women's final schedule, tipoff time at Paris Games

The final day of action from the 2024 Paris Olympics includes the medal matches for women's basketball. Team USA takes on France for the gold medal in this year's games.

Team USA is the only undefeated team left in the tournament. They rolled through group play winning by an average of nearly 20 points per game. In the quarterfinals, Nigeria battled back in the fourth quarter but Team USA still won 88-74 . In the semifinals, Team USA knocked Australia out of gold medal contention with a 85-64 win . That victory pushed the team's Olympic winning streak to 60 games en route to their eighth consecutive gold medal game.

Host France dropped its group play finale 79-72 to Australia but rebounded with a 84-71 win over Germany in the quarterfinals. Upset-minded Belgium beat undefeated Spain in the quarterfinals but France put an end to their Cinderella story with an 81-75 victory. That win earned France just its second appearance in the gold medal game, the other coming in 2012 against Team USA in London.
