The 2024-25 English Premier League season is finally upon us, following a summer brimming with international competition. After the exhilarating months of the Euros 2024, Copa American in the United States, and the Paris Olympics drawing the summer to a close, the focus now shifts to the much-anticipated Premier League.

Arsenal, in a bid to outshine Manchester City, is gearing up after two fiercely competitive seasons. The Gunners have bolstered their defense by recruiting some key players to complement their star performers, Martin Odegaard and Saka. They have also made significant signings, securing goalkeeper David Raya on a permanent deal and welcoming the arrival of Riccardo Calafiori.

For those of you who are fantasy soccer enthusiasts, here's a list of players you should consider for your team this season.

Five EPL players to boost your fantasy team

    Erling Haaland, Manchester City

It is no surprise that striker Erling Haaland would be at the top of the list of players on your fantasy team. Haaland won his second consecutive Golden Boot last season with 27 Premier League goals in 31 matches and helped lead Manchester City to their fourth league title.

    Ollie Watkins, Aston Villa

England and Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins is a must-have player for your team. Watkins had an outstanding performance in the 2023-24 Premier League season, scoring 19 goals and providing 13 assists in 37 matches. He also played a crucial role in England's journey to their first major final outside their home country during the Euro 2024 tournament, despite coming up short in the final against Spain.

    Cole Palmer, Chelsea

Chelsea has shown strong interest in forward Cole Palmer, signing him to a two-year contract extension that keeps him at the club until 2033. Palmer scored 22 goals in his first season with Chelsea, which places him right behind Erling Haaland of Manchester City.

    Martin Odegaard, Arsenal

Midfielder Martin Odegaard is a crucial player for Arsenal. He signed a new five-year contract in September, extending his stay with the Gunners until 2028. In the last season, Odegaard scored eight goals and was third in the league for the most assists with 11, behind Ollie Watkins and Cole Palmer.

    Rodi, Manchester City

Rodi is a formidable presence in the midfield for Manchester City and is renowned for scoring crucial goals. The 27-year-old Spaniard scored eight goals and provided nine assists in 34 starts last season. He is under contract until the end of the 2026-27 season.

    Kai Havertz, Arsenal

Arsenal's Mikel Arteta spent 67.3 million pounds on the versatile midfielder Kai Havertz last summer. Havertz contributed 13 goals and seven assists in his first season with the Gunners. He is a valuable contributor who can find the back of the net and will be a standout player for Arsenal in the new season.
