    DNC speakers list: See who is speaking on Day 1, including President Joe Biden

    The 2024 Democratic National Committee convention will begin Monday evening and consist of various speakers, including former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, first lady Jill Biden, President Joe Biden and many more.

    Biden will not speak at the DNC as a candidate as many anticipated before he dropped out of the 2024 presidential race in July. Instead, the 81-year-old will continue to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris as the top candidate to fill his seat come November.

    Monday is the first day of the event which runs until Aug. 22 and takes place at the United Center in Chicago. USA TODAY will provide livestream coverage on YouTube each night of the DNC.

    Day one will begin at 5 p.m. EST and is scheduled to end around 10:15 p.m. EST.

    When will Joe Biden speak at the DNC?

    Biden is scheduled to be the final speaker on day one. His aides told the New York Times that the president plans to argue why Harris is the best candidate to carry on his legacy.

    Biden's most recent public address came on July 24 , only three days after officially dropping out of the race.

    "I revere this office, but I love my country more," Biden said during his remarks. "It’s been the honor of my life to serve as your president. But in the defense of democracy, which is at stake, I think it’s more important than any title."

    The president also said, "The best way forward is to pass the torch to a new generation."

    How to watch and stream the 2024 DNC

    The convention will air live on its website , from the United Center in Chicago between 6:15 p.m. and 11 p.m. Eastern (5:15 p.m. to 10 p.m Central) on Monday, and 7 p.m to 11 p.m. Eastern (6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Central) the other days.

    USA TODAY will provide livestream coverage on YouTube each night of the DNC, Monday through Thursday.
