NFL Sunday Ticket subscribers on YouTube and YouTube TV can expect some new features this upcoming regular season, including one that could help them win their fantasy football leagues.
Sunday Ticket subscribers will be able to watch the games differently than they did a year ago due to the inclusion of a new "Fantasy View" partner, deeper fantasy integrations and multi-view improvements, according to a blog shared by YouTube.
"This year, you’ll see an even more personalized gameday experience for each and every fan," the blog says. "We’re excited to share the latest of many features coming your way this fall."
What is 'Fantasy View?'
Fans will be able to connect their Yahoo Fantasy accounts to Fantasy View, allowing them to "keep tabs on their teams without taking their eyes off the game," according to YouTube's blog.
Subscribers can access Fantasy View on YouTube TV on both TVs and mobile devices. To connect a fantasy account, subscribers can visit the "Sports" tab under account settings on their mobile device. For viewers watching NFL Sunday Ticket games through YouTube, Fantasy View will launch on mobile devices, tablets, and online later this season.
Coming soon, fantasy users will be able to see key plays and multiview combinations tailored to their fantasy lineups, the YouTube blog said.
How has multiview been improved?
YouTube has improved the multiview feature by allowing subscribers to build any available combination of two, three, or four NFL Sunday Ticket games, according to the blog.
YouTube TV Base Plan members will also have the option to find their desired multiview streams with their local NFL games through select stations.
Multiview is available on TVs, mobile devices, and tablets, for YouTube TV members. For NFL Sunday Ticket subscribers on YouTube, the multiview feature is accessible on mobile devices and tablets, in addition to TVs, at the beginning of the season.
New gameday features
Subscribers will also be able to access new gameday features, including:
A new video player experience for football on YouTube TV
A spoiler mode that will allow subscribers to hide scores for specific teams
More advanced playback controls so users can "get closer to the action"
A jump to last channel shortcut so viewers can quickly go back and forth between channels
