At a second news conference to promote the fight, it has been confirmed that the much-anticipated bout between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will move forward on Friday, November 15, at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The exhibition match, titled " The Baddest Man on the Planet ," will be streamed on Netflix.
"It's happening," Tyson said at the Fanatics Fest in New York City on Aug. 18. "We're all here. … I'm prepared. I'm very prepared. I had a small adversity, I got sick, but I got better. I feel good."
Paul, a YouTuber-turned-boxer, improved his record to 10-1 (seven KOs) after his July 21 victory in Florida. This victory came after a fight against bare-knuckle fighter Mike Perry, replacing the original match between Paul and Tyson. On the other hand, Tyson, a former heavyweight champion, has a 50-win, six-loss record in his professional career.
Paul has shifted his focus to a fight against the former heavyweight champion after it was rescheduled due to a health emergency experienced by the boxing legend. Despite the setback, Tyson has confirmed that his doctors have cleared him to resume training and has been doing so for three weeks.
Here is the latest information concerning the Tyson-Paul fight:
The fight will still take place at the AT&T Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys. The event organizer, Most Valuable Promotions, has carefully planned around the Cowboys' schedule to ensure a smooth event. They selected the new date — Friday, Nov. 15 — to avoid any conflicts with the Cowboys' football schedule. Dallas will host Houston on "Monday Night Football" on Monday, Nov. 18.
