Savannah Chrisley shares touching email to mom Julie Chrisley amid federal prison sentence

Savannah Chrisley is giving her followers an inside look at her family's struggles.

According to E! and People magazine, the "Growing Up Chrisley" reality TV star messaged the family matriarch the lyrics to gospel singer CeCe Winans’ “Be Still and Know,” as seen in a screenshot posted to her Instagram story on Wednesday.

"Sav, thank you for sending this. Love you always, Mama," the Chrisley family matriarch responded in an email from federal prison.

Her touching admission comes after Savannah Chrisley took the podium at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee last month to tell the conservative crowd about her parents' combined near-two-decade-long prison sentence.

"72600019, and 72601019," she told the crowd . "These may be just numbers to you, but to me, they're my whole heart. These numbers are my parents' identification numbers in our federal prison system."

Savannah Chrisley currently has legal custody of brother Grayson and niece Chloe after her parents were sentenced to prison. In 2022, Julie Chrisley , 51, and her husband, Todd Chrisley, 55, were found guilty of committing tax evasion and defrauding community banks out of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans. Julie Chrisley was additionally convicted of obstruction of justice and wire fraud.

Later, this June, federal judges from the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals threw out the original sentence against Julie Chrisley for insufficient evidence.

Judges from the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals found that the judge in Chrisley's 2022 trial miscalculated her sentence and did not find evidence proving her full involvement in the bank fraud scheme for which she was sentenced, according to documents obtained by USA TODAY.

Last December, the Palm Beach Post reported Julie Chrisley would be released from the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, on Sept. 4, 2028, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons site. She was later reassigned to the Kentucky site from a Florida federal prison camp in January of last year. She has not been given an updated release date.

Julie Chrisley's resentencing hearing is scheduled for Sept. 25, according to People .

It's been a difficult past year for Savannah Chrisley. In addition to her parents' imprisonment, her ex-fiancé, former professional ice hockey player Nicolas Kerdiles , died last year after a motorcycle crash in Nashville, Tennessee, where the Chrisley family relocated from the Atlanta metro area.

But there have been bright spots, too. She is currently dating Robert Shiver, an Alabama insurance executive, who set the internet ablaze last year as the victim of a murder conspiracy after his estranged wife, Lindsay Shiver, was accused of conspiring to kill him three months after each of them filed for divorce against the other.
