During his speech on Thursday, he discussed how Vice President Kamala Harris understands that "college is a ticket to the middle class" and emphasized how she will expand educational opportunities as president.
The Democratic National Committee convention is in Chicago through Thursday and on Thursday, Vice President Kamala Harris is scheduled to formally accept the party's nomination for the 2024 presidential election on Nov. 5.
What to know about Rep. Joe Neguse
Who is he? Congressman Neguse represents Colorado’s 2nd District in the U.S. House of Representatives and was elected to his first term in November 2018, becoming the first Black Member of Congress in Colorado history.
What role he plays: Neguse has a history of advocating for Black history and the rights of Black Americans and immigrants. Neguse became more of a household name during former President Donald Trump's second impeachment trial in 2021, after being elected by his House colleagues as the youngest House impeachment manager in U.S. history. He's also proven to be a loyal member of the party, having voted with President Joe Biden's stated position during every vote of the 117th Congress, according to an analysis by FiveThirtyEight.

The United Center, home of the Chicago Bulls and Blackhawks, will be the main venue for the DNC.
Chicago has hosted the Democratic Convention 11 times, most recently in 1996 when the United Center saw President Bill Clinton was nominated for a second time.
