Los Angeles Rams at Detroit Lions: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 1 game

Some think the Detroit Lions (0-0) could be Super Bowl-bound this season. That's certainly something the Los Angeles Rams (0-0) know a thing or two about, and the 2021 champions will be looking to put an early dent in the Lions ' campaign to start the season.
While the Lions have been on the come-up over the last few years, the Rams have embarked on a retooling project in wake of their Super Bowl triumph. Are the Rams ready to contend for a championship again, or are there still too many question marks on their roster?
And do the Lions really have what it takes to win it all? The world will be watching in prime time in hopes of an answer to come out of this rematch from last year's NFC wild-card round.
The Rams were a bit of a surprise last season, but I am expecting the Lions to come out focused after a tough loss in the NFC title game. Coach Dan Campbell has stressed that this team is no longer a fun story, but one expected to win. Detroit has the better roster.

Matthew Stafford makes a return trip to the Motor City in a rematch of the 2023 NFC Wild-Card game. Jared Goff got revenge against his former team when he ended the Rams season last year. This season, Goff and the Lions will hand the Rams a Week 1 loss. Detroit is a legitimate contender in the NFC.

This game will end just like the last one did: With Detroit winning and spoiling Matt Stafford’s return. The Lions are stacked on both sides of the ball, and begin the season with a win.

The over/under of 51 points could be a tall order given the Rams' woes on their offensive line. I doubt the Lions will have trouble doing their part, which is why I like Detroit and the points in this matchup.
I was so disappointed to see Dan Campbell doing a Sam Bernstein commercial. Last year I was so fucking sick of seeing 50 SB commercials per half, I found the game on the radio. Then, to my disgust, a SB commercial came on the radio. Can't enjoy Lions football like that.
