    Tim Walz's brother lives in Florida and is 'opposed to all his ideology.' Who is Jeff Walz?

    Tim Walz is one of four siblings, one of whom, a Florida resident, recently took to Facebook to rail against the Democratic vice presidential nominee.

    Walz's older brother, Jeff, in Facebook posts wrote he is "100% opposed" to all of his ideology and that he is “not the type of character you want making decisions about your future," The New York Post reported.

    Jeff Walz, 67, also wrote on Facebook that he has not spoken to his brother in eight years.

    The posts drew praise from former President Donald Trump , who wrote on Truth Social, "Sounds like a really great guy!"

    In an interview with NewsNation , Jeff Walz told the outlet while he doesn't agree with his brother's policies, he never intended for the posts to "influence the general public."

    He said he made the posts in response to feedback from friends and acquaintances who thought "I was feeling the same way that my brother did on the issues, and I was trying to clarify that just to friends.”

    He posted on Facebook that he'd consider endorsing Donald Trump on stage, but told NewsNation, "We're not campaigning or anything for him or against him or anything like that."

    Who is Jeff Walz?

    Jeff Walz, 67, is Democratic VP candidate Tim Walz's older brother (Tim Walz is 60).

    He lives in Freeport, Florida, with his wife, Laurie.

    Freeport is located in Walton County in the state's Panhandle and has a population of 5,861, according to the 2020 Census .

    According to property records, the couple purchased a home in Freeport in 2019.

    He graduated from Chadron State College in Nebraska, according to TODAY.

    Jeff Walz is a registered Republican and donated $20 to Donald Trump's 2016 campaign, The New York Post reported.

    In posts on Facebook, Jeff Walz said he has not spoken to his brother in eight years, that he is opposed to all of Tim Walz's ideology and that he is not "the type of character you want making decisions about your future."

    He also responded to comments urging him to endorse Donald Trump, saying, "I’ve thought hard about doing something like that!” He later told NewsNation he would not be campaigning for or against Trump.

    Yes he meant for it to get out there that’s personal problems he haven’t talk to him in 8 years so how do he know his views and thoughts are character every one change seem like their personal problems is a family issue not America problem
