College football rolls into Week 2 after an eventful long weekend that featured the first full slate of games of the season.
Among the most notable storylines from Week 1 was Northwestern's temporary lakeside stadium , which opened its doors for the Wildcats ' first game against Miami (OH) on Saturday. This Friday, Northwestern will host Duke for its second home game at Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium.
Both teams enter Friday's matchup off of a Week 1 victory. The Blue Devils took down Elon, 26-3, last Friday, showing off a strong defense that limited the Phoenix to 140 total yards of offense. Northwestern's defense also led the way for the Wildcats' 13-6 victory over Miami (OH) last weekend, limiting the RedHawks' offense to a 5-of-14 effort on third-down conversions.
