The first week of the college football season has concluded and Dion Sanders' Colorado Buffaloes managed to secure a victory in Week 1. Now, the Buffaloes are gearing up to make a strong statement against Nebraska in a match that is already sparking high anticipation.
In Week 1, Colorado's quarterback Shedeur Sanders completed 26 of 34 attempts for 445 passing yards with four touchdowns and one interception in the 31-26 win over North Dakota State . Sanders hopes to continue his strong performance to keep his name in the early Heisman conversation. Although Colorado secured a win in the season opener, fans are hopeful for a significant victory in Week 2 as the team travels to Nebraska, a match that could potentially be a turning point for the Buffaloes.
On the other hand, Nebraska is coming off a significant 40-7 win over the UTEP Miners. This win, with Dylan Raiola passing for 238 yards and two touchdowns in his college debut, marks a historic moment for the Cornhuskers , as it's their first win in a season opener in five years.
Tony Sink writes: "Nebraska has surrendered a total of 56 rushing yards as well as no touchdowns via the rush this year. They have given up 1 touchdown through the air and 149.0 yards per outing, ranking them 50th in D-1. They have earned no fumbles recovered and 2 interceptions on the campaign. The Cornhuskers defense has been on the field for 50 plays, which has them ranked 7th in D-1. The Cornhuskers are surrendering 7.0 PPG, which has them ranked 38th in D-1. In total, they have allowed 7 points in total."
Randy Cambers writes: "The Nebraska Cornhuskers are the more complete team and should be favored at home. The Colorado Buffaloes still look awful on the offensive line and shaky defensively. I'm also not a big believer in Deion Sanders winning on the big stage. I get all the criticisms. However, this is a lot of points to give a Colorado team that can score points by the boatload and has three high-level players Shedeur Sanders, Jimmy Horn Jr., and Travis Hunter. Also, despite the ugly finish to the season, Colorado was 6-1 ATS last season when underdogs of 7 or more points. Of course, the season opener against TCU was an outright winner. Nebraska may win, but I'm going to grab the points with Colorado on the road."
It writes, "According to our analysis, Nebraska is more likely to beat Colorado in CFB action at Memorial Stadium (Lincoln, NE) on Saturday. Discover the best spread, over/under and moneyline odds, picks and probabilities for the game on this page."
