Pittsburgh Steelers at Denver Broncos: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 2 game

    By Jon Hoefling, USA TODAY,

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Denver Broncos match up at Mile High Stadium for a Week 2 showdown.

The Steelers showcased a dominant defense in their Week 1 win over the Atlanta Falcons . Although the offense was never able to find the endzone, Pittsburgh still managed an eight-point victory thanks to a tremendous effort from their pass rush. That strength should come in handy against Broncos ' quarterback Bo Nix , who struggled mightily against Seattle's defense.

The Broncos were hoping for a little bit more than they got from rookie quarterback Bo Nix in Week 1. Nix averaged less than five yards per attempt in the loss, and although the defense looked solid, this team will need Nix to find a groove if they want any hope of competing with the Chiefs in the tough AFC West.

Here are our experts' predictions for this Week 2 matchup.

Lorenzo Reyes: Steelers 14, Broncos 7

Mike Tomlin against rookie quarterbacks feels unfair, especially when T.J. Watt is playing at such a high level. I see this being low-scoring and painful for Bo Nix.

Tyler Dragon: Steelers 20, Broncos 16

Will Russell Wilson get to face his former team? Mike Tomlin said Justin Fields will likely start as Wilson continues to recover from a calf injury. The Steelers defense is going to give the Broncos fits. Pittsburgh’s complementary football will lead them to victory.

Richard Morin: Broncos 14, Steelers 13

    Don't go against Bo!

Jordan Mendoza: Steelers 16, Broncos 10

Pittsburgh showed as long as its quarterback doesn’t make mistakes, it can win on the golden leg of Chris Boswell. He’ll be busy again and have a huge factor in Denver as defense rules the day.
