MLB playoff schedule: Dates, bracket, teams competing for 2024 World Series

The 2024 MLB season is taking October baseball pretty literally, for when the calendar strikes spooky season, the MLB postseason gets going the same day. With only three days until the end of the regular season, the teams participating in this year's playoffs are still not set in stone.
The Minnesota Twins , Seattle Mariners , and Atlanta Braves are all currently outside the playoff bubble looking in with shots to claim a postseason berth during the final weekend of the season. Even if one of those teams can squeak into the playoffs though, they'll be met with tough tests in the wild card round, likely facing either the Houston Astros in the American League or the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League.

Greed that World series might have to play games in cold November. When they extend playoffs they should reduce the 162 regular played games. Hockey is even worst. A team can have a loosing season and get into what 10 weeks of playoffs. After greedy NFL goes to a 18 game season they will want to add another week of playoffs. You would think greedy NFL being they are worth $38 billon would have been happy with a 16 game season. Tuff on players playing in northern outdoor stadiums in January when landing on frozen ground is like landing on concrete
