USC football lost a heartbreaker on the road in its first Big Ten game against Michigan .
Now, the No. 16 Trojans return home to host Wisconsin for their conference home opener at LA Memorial Stadium in Los Angeles. USC limited the Wolverines to 32 passing yards but struggled to get much traction in stopping the Michigan running game and scoring a season-low 24 points in the defeat.
The USC and Wisconsin programs are familiar with one another . The Trojans and Badgers have faced off six times in their respective histories, with two matchups coming in the Rose Bowl. USC leads the all-time series 6-1, but the Badgers won the last meeting on Dec. 30, 2015, by a score of 23-21 in the Holiday Bowl. The matchup before that came in 1966, a 38-3 win for USC in L.A.

Quarterback Miller Moss completed 28 of 51 passes for 283 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception while running back Woody Marks had 13 rushes for 100 yards. The Trojans ran 73 plays to the Wolverines 58 plays but could not win. Moss has completed 76 of 117 passes (65%) for 890 yards, five touchdowns and an interception through three games for the Trojans.
In Wisconsin's last game, the Badgers lost 42-10 to No. 4 Alabama at home. Wisconsin was limited to 290 yards of offense while allowing 407 yards. The Badgers had wins against Western Michigan and South Dakota, outscoring their opponents 55-27 through the season's first two weeks. Wisconsin was on bye last week.
