A pair of glasses opened a new world of wonder for a 7-month-old.

Dana Dettmer of Omaha, Nebraska noticed her baby, Pita, frequently tilting her head to one side. After consulting with a pediatrician, Dana took her daughter to a chiropractor. However, Pita’s condition didn’t improve, so Dana consulted an optometrist.

“I work for an optometrist,” Dana said. “She suggested we have Pita’s vision checked, as she might be tilting her head due to poor vision.”

Pita underwent an eye exam that revealed she needed glasses to see clearly.

To celebrate solving Pita's vision problems, Dana took her on an adventure to the zoo.

“She really studied everything and she particularly loved the aquarium,” Dana said.
