    How voter registration trends could sway the 2024 election in a key state

    In 2020, Joe Biden did something no other Democrat had done in a generation: Win Arizona. It was a narrow victory. (10,457 votes in fact.)     In razor close Nevada, Latino men shy away from Kamala Harris

    It’s been a busy week here in Las Vegas. This week, I spoke with an array of voters on their thoughts on the 2024 election. A trend I saw: Young Latino men are turning away from Democrats and Kamala Harris , who is in the state Thursday for a town hall with Univision. Instead, they’re leaning into conservatism, and it’s good news for Donald Trump . Read more.

    • The young men I spoke with all had the same concern: The economy.
    • One person I interviewed, Juan Garcia, 22, who works as a barber, told me that everyone needs to look at what the candidates are offering and which candidate wants a “better future for us.”
    • Trump has appealed to Latino men by leaning into masculinity and going in front of the media they consume, such as sitting down with podcasters like Theo Von and Lex Friedman.
    • Harris this week launched a new initiative called “Hombres con Harris” to appeal to Latino men with what she will do for the economy.

    Reminder: Nevada is in play as a swing state in the 2024 election .
