New York Jets at Pittsburgh Steelers: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 7 game

    By Jordan Mendoza, USA TODAY,

The New York Jets (2-4) suddenly look different headed into Week 7, but could changes also be coming for the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2)?

After another frustrating loss that saw the Jets lose their third-straight game, New York went out and made a big splash by acquiring Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders. Now that the star receiver is reunited with Aaron Rodgers, the expectations are raised for the Jets to turn their season around.

Pittsburgh is keeping pace in the AFC North, and even though it's mostly been a success so far, a quarterback change could be coming. Russell Wilson could make his first start for the black and yellow even though Justin Fields has played well. Will a quarterback change be a boom or doom?

Lorenzo Reyes: Jets 23, Steelers 16

New York is incredibly undisciplined and commits far too many penalties. The Jets also know they must turn things around. It will be interesting to see how much New York can incorporate Davante Adams in the mix, but Pittsburgh’s offense — when not playing the Raiders has been up-and-down. I expect the Steelers to have a far more challenging time running the ball on the Jets.

Tyler Dragon: Jets 25, Steelers 20

Davante Adams’ first game with the Jets. Expect Adams and Aaron Rodgers to get reacquainted quickly. The Steelers are going to have a difficult time containing both Garrett Wilson and Adams. Adams and Wilson are the best wide-receiving duo in the NFL on paper. The pressure is now squarely on Rodgers to deliver. The Steelers won’t be able to score enough points regardless of who starts at QB.

Richard Morin: Steelers 23, Jets 20

Reports suggest it could be Russell Wilson under center in Pittsburgh for this primetime bout. It wouldn't be the craziest suggestion that he could ball out on Sunday Night Football. Either way, I love the over.

Jordan Mendoza: Jets 20, Steelers 18

If he suits up, could Davante Adams make an immediate impact? People got to like the chances of seeing Aaron Rodgers connect with his old friend again and get the Jets to end their losing skid.
