Denver Broncos at New Orleans Saints: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 7 game

    By Jon Hoefling, USA TODAY,

Sean Payton, legendary former coach for the New Orleans Saints will face his former team this weekend, now on the sideline for the Denver Broncos .

Each of these teams has had an opposite start to the season. The Saints looked like one of the deadliest teams in the league the first two weeks, and then fell apart quicker than a Lego figurine dropped from a 10-story building. Meanwhile, the Broncos looked like one of the worst teams in the NFL , battling for the first overall pick, but have slowly started to turn things around. They may not have looked great against the Los Angeles Chargers a week ago, but they'll have their opportunity to bounce back in Louisiana on primetime television.

Here are our experts' predictions for this Week 7 showdown.

Lorenzo Reyes: Broncos 17, Saints 13

Frankly, I don’t love this play one way or the other. Still, given the several injuries New Orleans is dealing with — the ones to Derek Carr and receiver Chris Olive chief among them — it’s tough to see the Saints putting up many points against a tough Broncos defense that is looking for a bounce-back.

Tyler Dragon: Saints 20, Broncos 17

The Broncos and Saints are both on short rest and coming off losses. The Saints will be motivated by Sean Payton’s return to New Orleans. I expect the team to perform well against their old head coach. Bo Nix threw an interception last week and Spencer Rattler tossed two INTs. Expect a low-scoring game with both rookie QBs up against quality defenses.

Richard Morin: Broncos 33, Saints 32

    Don't go against Bo!

Jordan Mendoza: Broncos 22, Saints 20

Sean Payton wants to prove he is better than his Saints successor and has a more aggressive approach to his play-calling. Bo Nix has the potential to have a breakout game in a big road win.
