Janet Jackson breaks silence on brother Tito Jackson a month after death

Janet Jackson is remembering her brother Tito Jackson .

The "Rhythm Nation" singer posted a tribute to her elder brother, who died last month at age 70, on Instagram Tuesday.

"May you rest in eternal peace. I miss you so much!" she captioned a childhood photo of her and Tito Jackson on her Instagram story.

Janet Jackson, 58, has been on tour but is on a break before a slew of Las Vegas residency shows in December.

Tito Jackson, who rose to fame alongside his brothers in the Jackson 5, died Sept. 15. His sons Taj, Taryll and TJ Jackson confirmed his death in an Instagram tribute early the following morning.

"We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being," the sons captioned a carousel of photos featuring Tito, his sons and the Jackson 5, in collaboration with Tito's official Instagram account.

"It will forever be ' Tito Time ' for us," they continued. "Please remember to do what our father always preached and that is 'Love One Another.' We love you Pops."

An officer from the Gallup Police Department was "alerted to an individual requiring medical attention" on the evening of Sept. 15, according to a Sept. 16 press release from GPD. The officer subsequently requested an ambulance for the individual, who was later identified as Tito Jackson.

Tito Jackson was then transferred to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Details on Tito Jackson's condition leading up to his hospitalization were not disclosed.

With siblings Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael Jackson , Tito Jackon became a Motown hit as one-fifth of the Jackson 5, later The Jacksons.

Jackson was the third of 10 children in the family, including his brothers and bandmates, as well as Janet, Randy, Rebbie, La Toya and Brandon Jackson.
