This National League Championship Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets is shaping up to be October baseball at its most glorious. The best team in Major League Baseball this season is facing perhaps the hottest team in the game and it's pitting two classic baseball markets against one another.

The Mets and Dodgers head to New York for three games, beginning with Game 3 on Wednesday night . The two teams split the first two games of the series in Los Angeles. Games 4 and 5 will follow at Citi Field on Thursday and Friday, respectively. The winner of this best-of-seven NLCS will advance to the 2024 World Series and face the winner of the American League Championship Series between the New York Yankees and Cleveland Indians.
