    Jayden Daniels injury update

Jayden Daniels sustained a left rib injury in the first quarter of Washington’s game against the Carolina Panthers. The Commanders initially deemed Daniels questionable to return but he was later downgraded to out.

Daniels left the blue tent and attempted to toss passes along the sideline but appeared to still be in pain. The team's medical staff escorted him to the locker room.

Veteran Marcus Mariota replaced Daniels at quarterback for the Commanders. The Commanders were up 10-0 when Daniels checked out of the contest.
