2024 World Series: Odds for New York Yankees vs. Los Angeles Dodgers rivalry clash

The 2024 World Series is set.

The Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees , two storied franchises, will square off for the Commissioner's Trophy for the first time since 1981.

Both teams feature a myriad of All-Star talent, including the potential MVP in both leagues: Aaron Judge in the American League and Shohei Ohtani in the National League. Despite the star power both sides bring, neither team has experienced much postseason success in recent memory. The Dodgers won the title during the COVID-shortened 2020 season, but such a title does not taste as satisfying as one achieved during a full season.

The Yankees, meanwhile, are in search of yet another ring, their first since 2009. After failing to make the postseason in 2023, the team made a dedicated effort to improve, adding Juan Soto to their roster. Clearly, the move has paid off massively.

But which team is expected to win? Both teams were the top seeds in their respective conferences heading into the postseason, and both teams were top-ten in MLB in OPS. These teams are very evenly matched, but Vegas still has their favorites.
