    Arizona beats Stanford in Pac-12 baseball semis, meets USC for title

    Friday gave us the last two Pac-12 baseball games on Pac-12 Network. Saturday night’s championship game is on ESPNU. Friday marked the final live events aired on Pac-12 Network, bringing an era to a close. While that story played out in the media world, four Pac-12 baseball teams were fighting for a championship. USC and Arizona prevailed, setting up their showdown in Scottsdale. USC beat Cal in the day’s first semifinal, played in mid-afternoon heat (close to 100 degrees). Arizona then beat Stanford in the night semifinal. Let’s look at how the Wildcats got past the Cardinal and add a few notes on the big Saturday championship game versus the Trojans:
