When the game was on the line, Steph Curry stepped up in an incredibly crucial way for the Americans in a way that only he could.

Which is to say, he hit a flurry of ridiculous 3-pointers.

Late in the fourth quarter of the gold medal game , with just 2:58 to play, France cut the U.S. lead to just three points after Victor Wembanyama tipped in an offensive rebound.

And then, 10 seconds later, Curry swished a 3-pointer.

    And then another.

    And then another.

    And then another.

In the final three minutes of the game, Curry scored 12 points to put the game on ice for the Americans. The dagger in the 98-87 victory that paved the way for the U.S. to secure its 17th Olympic gold medal came with 35 seconds left when Curry responded Wembanyama’s 3-pointer by hitting one of his own over two French defenders.

Curry then told the Frenchmen, “Night, night.”

It was an absurd shot that sealed the win, pushing Team USA’s lead back to nine points. Curry would finish with 24 points on 8-of-13 shooting from 3-point land along with five assists, leading the Americans to a win over France on their homecourt.

Even Dwyane Wade was in awe .
